Description

A heavy hex nut is visibly different from a normal hex nut or finished hex nut in that it is bigger and stronger. Hex Nuts are hexagon nuts with six sides that are used to tighten bolts and screws. Its use, however, is not restricted to hex-headed bolts. The hexagonal body allows for fast wrenching while still applying sufficient torque to the bolting joint. Both types of bolts can be used with hex nuts. Hex nuts are also known as hexagon nuts or six-sided nuts. With unified national coarse pitch (UNC), fine pitch (UNF), fixed pitch (Un), and ISO metric thread profiles, hex nut dimensions are described in both metric and imperial sizes. These are available in a variety of materials and ASTM requirements.1
